EzStart *
With our EzStart Savings you can earn higher interest than a regular savings on amounts up to $5,000. To open this account, you will need to have a SouthPoint checking account, debit card and e-statements. This Savings is available to members 24 and younger.

Dollars For A's
For every "A" (or highest letter grade achievable) you receive on your report card up to 5, you will receive $1 per "A".
Student must bring their report card to any SouthPoint location prior to the end of the next quarter.
The funds will be deposited into your new or existing SouthPoint savings account
Refer a classmate and double your dollars. $5 max per new referral.

Rules for Dollars for A's:
High School. Students (age 16-18) must have savings, eStatements, Checking and EzStart Savings - money will be directly deposited into their EzStart savings account. For 2012/2013 school year. The referred account must stay active for 6 months or the funds will need to be reimbursed back to the Credit Union.

Free Checking with Debit Card (requires an adult joint owner if under age 18)

Start building positive credit history and learn how to manage credit before heading off to college or starting a job after graduation. Using SouthPoint's low, non-variable rate VISA Credit Card (requires an adult co-applicant when under 21).

• Active Checking Account
  • Same minimum balance required for new checking accounts
    • $50 for ages 18 and under
    • $100 for over 18
• Debit Card
• eStatements

Active Checking Account Requirements

• Minimum of 3 transactions each month
  • Transactions are:
    • PIN or Point of Sale with Debit Card
    • Transfer
    • Cleared Check
    • Deposit or Direct Deposit
    • Monthly dividend is NOT considered a transaction
• If these requirements are not met SouthPoint may transfer funds into your Regular Share account and close the EzStart Savings account.
• When the member turns 25, the funds in the EzStart will be transferred into your Regular Share account and the EzStart Savings account will be closed.
