Job Description: To answer incoming calls and electronic communications (e-mail and webchat) of SouthPoint Federal Credit Union in a caring and efficient manner using the Member Service Skills set forth by the credit union.

Be the first line of response to members' requests, problems and complaints and/or direct them to the proper person for specific information and assistance.

Assist members with opening new accounts and loan applications.

Assist members with transactions such as account transfers, loan payments, research and balance inquiries.

Provides assistance to members regarding access to services such as Online Banking, Electronic Statements, Bill Pay, Call 24, Cross Accounts and plastic card services.

Keep member loyalty top of mind by continuously looking at the members needs and trying to fulfill those needs by using the Sales Skills set forth by SouthPoint Federal Credit Union.

Take on periodic projects as assigned.

Input, update, and process account information as necessary.

Follow up with members as needed for necessary paperwork

Conduct debit/credit card maintenance (ordering, research, account changes, etc.)

Perform other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS

Perform clerical support duties as necessary.

Attend meetings, conferences, seminars and training courses.

Assist Operation department with Stop Payments and wire transfers.
Preferred Skills:

Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills essential for serving members and projecting a positive image as a representative of the Credit Union.

Requires an extensive knowledge of the Credit Union's policies, procedures, products and services relating to the lending and deposit functions.

Requires completion of high school education. In addition, specialized training in the areas of responsibility specific to a call center is preferred.

Requires intermediate mathematical skills (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.)

Prefer one year of work experience in a financial institution Member Service Area.

Advanced Automated Systems skills required.

Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
